Grab A Computer for Math’s Sake • We will be doing some preliminary research on our topics for the REST OF THE SEMESTER!!!!! • Tips: • Pick something that is important to you!!!! • If you don’t, you will be bored as the semester rolls on • Pick a BROAD subject that you can narrow!!!! • If you pick something TOO specific at this point, you wont be able to write 3 or 4 papers on the subject very easily • Pick the job you want when you’re a big boi or gurl (Maybe) • Hopefully this will be broad enough to carry you through and be interesting enough to hold your interest • If not…then you know that maybe that this isn’t the job for you (if it cant keep you going for 14 weeks it wont keep you happy for the rest of your life)

  4. EXTENDED DEFINITION RESEARCH • Now that you have chosen your topic…..maybe, you can start researching it • LETS look how an Owl might do it

  5. Proposal • For next Monday, you need to bring me a topic proposal. • This should be about a paragraph in which you: • State your BROAD topic • How you might be able to write these four kinds of papers • What the topic means to you (why it is important to you)
