  4. Financial Aid Form What is a FAFSA? • FAFSA – Free Application for Student Aide • Why is it important and how long will it take to process the application? File EARLY!!!

  6. Financial AidWithdrawal and Return of Federal Funds Policy Do not totally drop or withdrawal from classes without checking with the Financial Aid Center in the 100 Building. Dates that apply for the 60% rule : View FDTC College Calendar available on main web page.

  11. Change of Name or Address • It is the responsibility of every student to notify Registrar Services of any change in name or address.  • Failure to do so can cause delay in receiving grades and other important correspondence.

  12. Change of Academic Major • Step 1: Meet with current advisor • Step 2: Complete Change of Curriculum form.  Students who are on Financial Aid are allowed 2 curriculum changes only.

  13. Withdrawal Procedures • A student may: • add a course without penalty during the first three (3) days • drop a course during the first five (5) days of the semester.  • Withdrawal after first week of classes is the students responsibility

  14. Grades, Transcripts, and Obligations • Grades • Grading Policy • Assignment of Grades • Grade Changes • Grades for Repeated Courses • Grade Appeals • Transcripts/Verification of Enrollment • Outstanding Obligations

  16. Discipline Code • Disciplinary action will result from the following: a. Academic Dishonesty b. Disruptive Activity in classrooms/campus FDTC follows the Student Code for South Carolina’s Technical College System

  18. Success CenterPerkins Grant Program The Success Center provides academic support and preparation services to all FDTC Students. These services include: • Individual and group tutoring in core and advanced courses, • Counseling • Academic needs workshops Students also have access to: • Computers, • Instructional CD-ROM's • Anatomy models • Instructional video tapes • Various others supplemental tools and instruction For more information, call the Success Center at 843-661-8281 or visit the Center in Room 5313 in the 5000 Building.

Student Support Services SSS offices are located in the Success Center, 5000 building, room 5313 Qualifications to participate: • Must be first generation college student • Must qualify for federal financial aid or Have a documented disability Services provided are: • Workshops • Tutoring • Counseling (academic and personal) • Cultural and Social Events • Financial Aid Assistance • Provide information on transferring to four-year institutions For more information please call Student Support Services at 843-661-8367
