  1. Welcome to Piedmont College EDUC 702 Section 64 Fall 2012

  2. Please initial beside your name on the roster • And take a nametag • Place food and drinks outside • Please set your cell phone to silent… • and step outside the classroom to talk if you get a call

  3. Sit anywhere you like • You may change each class meeting • You may use Desktop computers or your laptop (only GCPS laptops will connect) • Your laptop will not print in this classroom

  4. One absence allowed… • …or lateness totaling to 4 hours

  5. You may use your GCPS laptops • Bring your own network cable • You may bring a personal laptop • …but not connect it to the network • If you use your GCPS laptop you will not be able to print in this lab • …but you will be able to access your Home Directory at your school

  6. If you log in to desktops in Berkmar HS lab… • User ID = 1250001 (…00,…01…,etc…the Instructor will assign your number based on alphabetic listing on roster) • Password = patriot • You will be able to print in the lab…but will not have access to your Home Directory at your school

  7. Breaks…. • Supper break at 6:00pm each night…for 15-30 minutes • Evening break at 7:30pm for about 15 minutes • Use Malcolm’s advice in “Jurassic Park”…’if you gotta go, you gotta go…”

  8. www.georgebagwell.org • Review the syllabus • NOTE: If you use a Berkmar HS desktop in this lab • once you have accessed the web page above • press F5 on each new screen to “reset” the cache • (since, we’ve been using these desktops in previous classes, • the web page above has changed • the desktop will try to access the old web page)
