The Denver Fold

Learn the Denver Fold method to minimize hose packing space effectively. Start by marking a thin black line around the 32" hose from the female coupling to begin the fold. Use the horseshoe style method to alternate between long and short sections, stopping short of the coupling. Mark a thick black line at 25’. Connect couplings securely, and apply straps for stability. Tuck extra hose neatly to ensure couplings are positioned correctly. Discover preferred carrying methods and tips for managing odd-sized hoses and nozzles for a clean, organized pack.

  1. The Denver Fold Make a thin black mark around hose 32” from outside of female coupling This is where you will start the fold

  2. Horseshoe Style Fold

  3. Alternate Long-ShortStopping folds short of coupling

  4. Thick Black Line Indicates 25’ Mark

  5. Connect couplings-one or two turns

  6. Turn pack on its side, and apply straps-Two to the male side, one to female side. Duct tape can be used if you don’t have straps available.

  7. Finished Pack

  8. Dealing With Extra Hose From Odd Sized Hose and/or the Nozzle:With no nozzle, just connect the couplings and work the extra hose around to the opposite side and tuck it in. Couplings should end up on opposite sides of the center of the pack.

  9. Work extra around and tuck under previous fold

  10. Finished Nozzle Section-Extra Hose Tucked Neatly Away

  11. How To Carry The Pack

  12. Preferred Method

  13. Alternate #1
