Second Language Acquisition Program Exemplary *All Level 1 - ELL students were provided with cultural awareness experiences *All Level 2 - ELL students in need of supplemental academic support were provided language tools to assist in development of the English language through the BISD Bilingual program, such as ELL writing portfolios, ESL computer assisted intervention software, ELL intervention plan, etc. *All Level 3 – Parents participated in program activities to learn strategies for assisting their children to learn English and to meet the same academic standards as all students including Fall and Spring District Bilingual parent meetings, Open House, and BISD Parental Involvement sessions.   9. Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized *GT classes performed a skit during the Author Visit – Dr. Rene Saldana. Students were to perform what they thought was the ending of the story before Dr. Saldana read it to them. Vermillion Elem.
