UTEP Air Quality Study: Monitoring PM Variations and Chemical Composition

This study aims to investigate the temporal and spatial variations of particulate matter (PM) in the Paso del Norte region. We focus on three primary objectives: 1) analyzing the gravimetric variations of PM2 in different locations and times, 2) examining the correlation between fine particulate matter (PMfine) and coarse particulate matter (PMcoarse), and 3) identifying the chemical constituents of PMfine and PMcoarse. Using SIER monitoring, we seek to enhance understanding of local air quality dynamics and their implications.
