Game Objectives • Starting, managing and expanding your own company! • Corporate Conquest is a game that involves risk-taking, wealth management and decision-making skills. • Game over when you lose 100% of your company’s shareholdings, or get taken over! • Only ONEcompany can emerge as the Corporate Conqueror!

  3. Game Structure • 2 to 4 players • Ages 12 & above • 4 stages: 1) Start-up 2) Venture Capital Financing (VCF) 3) Initial Public Offering (IPO) 4) Merger & Acquisition (M&A)

  4. CFAS Objectives • Impart knowledge of CFAS topics through Q&A • Experience economic scenarios with positive/negative impact • Go through the life of a business from start-up stage to industry heavyweight • Understand risk and returnand corporate financing

  5. CFAS Objectives • Topics Covered: 1) Venture Capital Financing 2) Initial Public Offering 3) Corporate Securities 4) Post-IPO Fund-raising 5) Mergers & Takeovers • Coverage through stages in the game, Q&A and events

  8. Game Board • 2 Parts • Bottom part  Single space movement • Top part  Roll dice to determine movement

  9. Stage 1: Start-up • Roll a dice to determine potential profits on Q&A square • Answer Q&A correctly to accumulate profits • Aim for higher profitsuntil VCF Checkpoint to get more financing • Advantageous for the intellectually prepared!!

Stage 2: VC Financing Checkpoint • Financed amount determined by existing profit • Right to buy but not an obligation to purchase any number of either stocks or bonds • For bonds, receive coupons on returns squares, and your face value on maturity (IPO Checkpoint) • You can choose from 3 different levelsof risks for stocks and you have the option to sell your stocks on return squares

Stage 3: IPO Checkpoint • Firstly, return VC funding • Meet the 30m profit criteria to IPO (Doubling Q&A Profits) • If criteria not met, you can IPO anytime along this checkpoint • Distribution of portion of shares to public to raise funds • Economic events introduced to encourage interaction (EVENTS)

  12. Stage 4: M&A Checkpoint • Immediately eliminated if your company has not attained IPO • M&A infinite loopuntil 2 players left • Share buyback at 1.5x (Beginning) • Takeover& reject cards introduced • Gameplay on share acquisition • Game over when company has been taken over • Last lap when 2 players left
