  3. This mini term help local landowner, June Foushee, Decide what she should do with her family’s Durham County property. Foushee Cotton Gin

  4. Some options that will be considered: • Historic property available to the public • Donation to Land Conservancy • Off the grid homestead • Incubator organic farm

  5. Explore and document the logistics for one of these options in small teams and create a report for the landowner, with recommendations. Visit the NC Solar Center, an incubator farm, an historic Property Open to the public to learn about each option. Learn techniques for documenting historic properties Test soil and water quality to determine the suitability of the property for an organic farm Learn about off-the-grid retrofit designs
