  5. Fact#2 • Emily Jane was the mother of 10 children when the civil war erupted.

  6. Fact#3 • At one point in 1862 when Emily was 45 she turned down the Union Navy.

  7. Fact#4 • The Nottoway Plantation house is one of the largest Antebellum Plantation houses in the south.
