Current status & next steps • Defined proposed project scope in Data Sheet • Held kick-off meeting with project members • Conducted surveys on the use of SharePoint, deliverable prioritization and self assessment on best practices to be shared • Majority of the project members wanted to learn best practices • Held virtual best practices sharing event (additional event to be scheduled)

Topics for Microsoft • Migration process and loosing existing features/customizations • Implementation plan for Social Networking Analysis (SNA) elements • Plans for providing a Social Media Library template like the Open Source Podcasting Kit for SharePoint (PKS) (currently only available for SharePoint 2007) that Microsoft’s training award winning corporate Academy Mobile implementation is based on. • What are the top three recommended global integration partners (Gold Certified Partner Program) for the Consortium and members to work with? • SharePoint 2010 LMS Integration options • Transactional application areas for MOSS (process flow) • The project team would like to get educated on SharePoint 2010 versions/features/capabilities • We would like to have a SharePoint 2010 sandbox (Enterprise or cloud service) • We would like to get advice on how to build template sites (migrate/reuse existing implementations)
