  16. 4 steps to stop CYBERBULLYING: STOP – Do not try to reason with or talk to someone who is cyberbullying you. BLOCK: Use the block sender technology to prevent the person from contacting you again. TALK: Tell a trusted adult, inform your school, use a help line and/or report it to police.   25. Our human rights It is against our Human Rights laws to treat anyone differently or badly because of: race, ethnic origin, religion, age, sex, marital status, family status, disability, pardoned conviction and sexual orientation. BEYOND THE HURT

  28. Reasons to STOP bullying and harassment: Youth who are targeted may experience: low self-esteem, anger, sadness, fear, loneliness, problems with relationships, problems with schoolwork, eating disorders, self-cutting/harm, suicide, substance abuse. BEYOND THE HURT
  29. If you are bullying or harassing others: S top the behaviour T ake responsibility for your actions Open your mind to finding new ways of relating positively to others P revent situations that influence you to bully. BEYOND THE HURT
  30. If you are being targeted: Avoid being alone with the person who bullies Call for help Take a stand – Tell the person bullying to stop the behaviour Use humour or walk away Do not believe negative bullying messages BEYOND THE HURT
  31. If you see someone being bullied or harassed: C heck the scene for safety Affirmthe person being targeted and speak up against the bullying R etreat — and report the situation End the incident by documenting what happened. BEYOND THE HURT
  32. Remember: It’s not your fault! You have a right to be treated with respect and feel safe! If you need help, talk to someone you trust. If they don’t help you, tell someone else! You have the power to help stop bullying and harassment! BEYOND THE HURT
