  1. SEO Techniques- White Hat vs Black Hat – Part II In the previous article, we were discussing about “WHITE HAT SEO” in brief. In the following section, let us go further and discuss on “BLACK HAT SEO” techniques and how it can harm your Website’s online presence and pose a negative promotion. Keyword Stuffing: As discussed in my previous article about White Hat SEO Techniques, Quality contents in the Website helps you get recognized soon by Search Engines. However, should we over-do and stuff the Keywords more than the appropriate ratio, is a very big question. Well, if you over do and stuff your website to achieve ranking within a short stint, your website gets penalized for this action and can be black listed. Google calls this action as “BLACK HAT SEO” technique. Best recommendation is to include “2 to 3 Keywords” for every 300 words. Alt Description – being over optimized: This relates to “Keyword Stuffing” as well. As a Web Designer, you should be aware about ALT tags. They come as an inclusion to “img” tag. Providing one keyword in the ALT tag do not hurt the Website and SEO process. However, including all your keywords all together in a single ALT tag may lead to Keyword Stuffing and be listed in the BLACK HAT SEO” technique Internal Links – being over optimized: Better usage of Inbound links is one of the best method to make you recognized by Search Engines. Having said this, we ought not over-do as well. The TITLE tag inside the internal links plays a vital role. Stuffing too much Keywords in TITLE tag is not recommended as per the WHITE HAT SEO” technique. You may include a single keyword that works out well for you. The Link Text too plays a major role in deciding the SEO technique. You ought not stuff your keywords in the link text as we do in the other cases. For instance, the link texts below can explain the appropriate SEO techniques title=”Freelance Web Designer Singapore services” – WHITE HAT SEO title=”Freelance Web Designer Singapore for Singapore Web Design Services with logo design services ” – BLACK HAT SEO

  2. Text and Links – keeping it invisible : Search Engine algorithm is typically written to find all these invisible text and links stuffed with keywords. This is not a recommended practice and will be penalized for following the BLACK HAT SEO technique. HTML Headings – being over optimized: Search Engines typically crawl the HTML Headings with high priority and best usage of HTML headings can help you gain best support from the Search Engines. However, Repeating the main Keywords in the HTML Headings will make the Search Engines think twice while crawling and can even list you in “BLACK HAT SEO” Technique. For instance, Heading 1: Web Designer Singapore Heading 2: Web Designer Singapore Services Heading 3: Web Designer Singapore Portfolio Heading 4: Web Designer Singapore Testimonial Should you notice in the above instance, “Web Designer Singapore” is repeated all Headings. This is not a not a recommended practice and can be penalized for the same. “BLACK HAT SEO” is not done yet. There are lot many of those which are not recommended. In the next article, we shall discuss more on “BLACK HAT SEO” techniques in detail.
