Keys to 7th grade SUCCESS • Chromebooks • Required for use in classes • MUST have everyday and charged • Will receive on 1st day of school • Organizational tool • Supplies (Recommended) • 1-BLUE (Even)day 3-ring binder • 1-GOLD (Odd) day 3-ring binder • 8 folders with pockets (4 in each binder) • Basic utensils • Additional supplies at teachers’ request • Make GOOD choices • Do your BEST • Have fun

Keys to 7th grade SUCCESS • Parent/Student Portal • Parent Teacher Conferences- Sept. 18th and 19th • Student extracurricular participation: Our goal is 100% • 65% Passing grade/yearly average per class • Student Handbook-Available on CCMS website • Heads Up! Informational meeting Wednesdays at 8:10am

  11. ATTENDANCE State Law: It is the obligation of every parent/guardian to ensure that every child under their care and supervision receives adequate education and training and, if of compulsory attendance age (6-17 yrs of age) attend school.

  12. Unexcused Absence…… Students not reporting to class or an assigned area by teacher or staff. Missing a class to complete work for another class. Not attending class after checking in at office. 24 hour rule – phone, note or in person.

  13. What is an Excused Absence? Excused by administrator School sponsored activity Athletic activity Suspension/expulsion

Tardies Always, always, always sign in at the main office 10 minutes late to class is an unexcused absence Tardies will be checked weekly Parents should accompany their student into the main office when arriving late to school to sign them in After 3 tardies a student will receive an after school detention

  15. Safety Cameras throughout the school and parking lots Front doors will be locked after first bell Please buzz-in Parent will need to sign child in, in the office Student will need a pass to go to class All parents and visitors will need a visitor’s badge SRO on-site
