  2. Positive Impact of Globalization • More employment opportunities due to emergence of industries such as BPO, Call Centres, Retails & IT • Technological development • Availability of cheaper and wide varieties of consumer products • Cheaper and faster communication

TU ACTIONS • Organizing the informal sectors • Attracting young workers into Union movement • Empowering women & youth in Union’s leadership • Professionalism in Union work/activities • Trade Union education • Building alliances with other civil society organizations • Organizing issue-based campaign (such as amendments on labour laws) • Enhancing solidarity amongst unions
