Goals of site
Goals of Site

  • To integrate the blog with the rest of the site, both visually and administratively.

  • For students: easy access to schedule; information needed should be easily findable and schedule should have multiple modes of access.

  • Less centralized web administration / more user interactivity.

Task analysis
Task Analysis

  • Checking assignments.

  • Signing up for presentations.

  • Uploading deliverables.

  • Class communication.

Labeling Scheme

  • Overview conflates three sections of the old site: overview, resources, and policies.

  • Schedule driven by Wordpress schedule category and calendar plugin (more about this delight later…).

  • Specific categories which support individual page functionality (schedule, presentations, site critiques) are suppressed from appearing in the regular category flow.
