Vision and Aims To make J.N.M.C.H one of the top Medical Institutions in India Vision • Best Possible & Affordable Medical Care to Patients • High Quality Medical Education and Research • Health Education to Society Aims Although many initiatives are possible to achieve the outlined aims, our focus is on thrust areas that can be practically implemented

  4. Cardiology (Cath Lab for Angiography & Angioplasty) Nephrology Neurology Medical Gastroenterology Nuclear Medicine Geriatrics Medical Oncology 1. Development of Medical Superspecialities

  5. Urology Surgical Oncology Surgical Gastroenterology Cardiothoracic Surgery (Open Cardiac Surgery) Note: Separate departments of Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery already exist 2. Development of Surgical Superspecialities

  6. a) First Phase: To start MCH Courses in Paediatric Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology and DM Courses in Cardiology and Endocrinology. b) Second Phase: To start DM/MCH Courses in Nephrology, Neurology, Medical Gastroenterology, Critical Care, Urology and other Superspecialities c) Courses related to New Trauma Centre (under PMSSY) MS (Trauma) & MD (Emergency Medicine) 3. To start DM / MCH courses in Superspecialities

Other Initiatives • Development of Trauma Centre and Modernization of Emergency services • Establishment of Cancer Tertiary Care Centre (CTCC). • Establishment of IVF Unit in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. • Upgradation of Clinical Laboratories • Modernization and Upgradation of Operation Theaters • Inculcation of responsible work culture. (Discipline, Punctuality, Accountability etc.) • Quality Control : - Medical Audit - Mortality Review Committee (at Dept. & Faculty levels)

Creation of Centre for Telemedicine Development of smart class rooms in the college Involvement of NGO’s in patient care and health education Entering into Memorandum of Understandings with foreign universities and leading national Institutions imparting medical education to facilitate faculty and student exchange programs and to expand horizons of knowledge and learning
