  3. Drama Course Description Are you a shy person who avoids speaking in a group of people? Do you want to learn more about strategies for working with others? Then Drama is the course for you! Through games, activities and creative projects, you will: • Learn about role play and performance skills • Develop your creativity • Learn about working with other people • Learn to put together your own shows using lighting and sound technology You don’t need to be a great actor to get a great mark in Drama. You just need to learn to try your best, and be reliable to others.

  4. Extra Curricular Opportunities in Drama Major Productions • T. L. Kennedy has a long standing tradition of producing original works involving large casts and stage crews. Short Plays • A chance to showcase the original work of students through participation in festivals and competitions like the Student Wrights and Sears Festivals. Writing • Students have the opportunity to write their own scripts and short plays that can be work-shopped throughout the year and staged for various festivals. Directing and Stage Management • There are also many opportunities to direct smaller plays, and co-direct/stage manage the major productions Lighting and Sound Crew • Learn how to operate our lighting and sound equipment, and provide lighting and sound design for several different kinds of events. Makeup, Costume and Set Design • Explore your creativity and design skills by helping in the creation of the visual elements of several productions

  13. Visual Arts Course Description Are you always doodling? Would you like to learn how to draw and paint realistically? Do you like to create sculpture ,paper macheor work with clay? Do you like to create interesting designs? Are you always working with your hands? Are you interested in why famous artists are famous? Then Visual Art is the course for you!

Through sketchbook exercises, demonstrations and creative projects, you will: • Learn how to draw, paint, and create sculpture • Develop your creativity thinking skills • Learn to make professional-looking artwork that you will be proud to display. You don’t need to be a great artist to get a great mark in Visual Arts. You just need to attend regularly, have an open mind and be able to follow step-by-step instructions!

  16. Media Arts Course Description Are you always doodling or cartooning? Would you like to learn how to draw and paint on the computer? Do you like to play with graphics on a computer? Do you like to create interesting designs? Do you like to take digital photographs? Are you interested in creating animations, claymation or video on the computer? Are you interested in why famous animators and photographers are famous? Then Media Art is the course for you!

Through sketchbook exercises, demonstrations and creative projects, you will: • Learn how to draw, paint, and work with your own photos using step-by-step methods on the computer • Learn to create computer animations using your own drawings • Develop your creativity thinking skills • Learn to make professional-looking computer graphic artwork that you will be proud to display. You don’t need to be a great artist or computer geek to get a great mark in Media Arts. You just need to attend regularly, have an open mind and be able to follow step-by-step instructions!

  19. Extra Curricular Opportunities inVisual Art Mural Painting Club • T. L. Kennedy has several large murals in the school which are being repainted. Come and leave your legacy with the school by designing and painting the school hallways. Set-Painting Design and Construction • Students may help to build and paint sets and background for one of T.L. Kennedy’s many famous drama productions. Annual Art Show Display Crew • Ever wanted to own your own gallery to display your artwork? Now is your chance to help with art display for our Music, Art and Drama night. Make new friends while showing off great artwork. Annual Art Show Contest • Ever wanted to win an art contest! Now’s your chance to show off your own printed computer generated work for public display at our Music, Art and Drama Night. The work will be juried by your friends and family for a big prize. Yearbook Club • If you like to photograph your friends or other activities, design layout, do graphic illustration, write interesting articles or sell advertising then yearbook is the place for you.
