  1. What is Total Knee Replacement? Total Knee Replacement (TKR), also called Total Knee Arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure in which a damaged or worn-out knee joint is replaced with an artificial implant (prosthesis). This surgery is most commonly performed in patients suffering from severe arthritis, chronic knee pain, or knee joint damage that affects daily activities and quality of life. Who Needs Total Knee Replacement?
