  5. Clasificación de los polígonos por sus ángulos interiores • Cóncavos: tienen al menos un ángulo interior de más de 180º.

  6. Convexos: sus ángulos interiores son de menos de 180º

  7. Clasificación por el número de lados • Triángulos: tres lados

  8. Cuadrilátero • Tiene cuatro lados

  9. Pentágono • Tiene cinco lados

  10. Hexágono • Tiene seis lados

  11. Heptágono • Tiene siete lados

  12. Octágono • Tiene ocho lados

  13. Eneágono • Tiene nueve lados

  14. Decágono • Tiene diez lados

  15. Undecágono • Tiene once lados

  16. Dodecágono • Tiene doce lados

  17. Para nombrar polígonos de más de doce lados, simplemente se indica el número. Ej: polígono de catorce lados, polígono de treinta lados, etc.
