  2. Somalia • Somalia is a small country on the east coast of Africa. This country has a federal style government. The country has an estimated 9,925,640 people living there. The average age is 17.

  3. Electoral system • Somalia's parliament chooses the president. There is not a true democratic choice in their leadership. The current president Sharif Ahmed was chosen by parliament.

  4. The people • The people of Somalia mainly make there income by fishing. The only problem with this is that. Somalia's lack of military influence allows pirates to raid the fisherman.

  5. Revolution • Over the last few years the country has been torn into a civil war between the Government, and the R.U.F. or the Revolutionary United Front. This war has taken place because of the demand of African Diamonds. Somalia's forced to dig for diamonds, have taken arms and fought against their oppressors.

  6. Government • Somalia has a Federal government system called the Somali Republic. Even though the country has a democratic style government. No region of the country is completely under the control of the government. Which has caused tension between major cities, and towns.

  7. Economy • Somalia's economy strives of its exports, such as livestock, bananas, and fish. This kind of trade with other countries has enabled the people of Somalia to receive foreign aid, such as food, and water.
