  3. What will the technical organization look like after the project is over? • We will need expert coders in the Oracle domains who are also comfortable doing application-specific technical analysis. • This includes areas such as: • Admissions, Student Records, Student Finance, Financial Aid within the Campus Solutions app • Master Data Management (MDM) in the Seibel env. • SOA-based applications rendered via the Portal • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) • Staff augmentation via GSD

  4. Current Environment 20 years old, very familiar, relatively stable Predictable Pace Low Learning demands Not as much analysis & doc required Few upgrades & not as much maintenance Fewer moving pieces Mainframe technology or the accidental architecture Future Environment Brand new to CU, less well known, functionally less predictable Unpredictable Pace High Learning Demands Full degree of analysis & doc 6 maintenance bundles annually, and major application upgrades every 2-4 years. Lots of moving pieces Client/Server>>Pure Internet Architecture, with an intentional architecture How might things be different?

  5. How will we make sure we have qualified people to perform those roles?

  6. What is happening for the next 9 months?
