What is a Workplace Competency?

A chemical process technician should be able to:

  • Operate a computer-controlled gas chromatograph
  • Correlate characteristics of boiling point, vapor pressure & viscosity with choice of storage containers
  • Test safety equipment in labs & maintain log
  • Identify linear proportion of calibration curve
  • Determine water in crude oil using Karl Fischer titration
