  3. Matthew 5:99“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Psalm 34:1414Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Pursuing Peace

  4. What is Peace? • Peace is more than stopping a war. It is the endeavor to seek the God-ordained destiny of everyone and everything unhindered. • We need peace in our personal lives, in our relationships, and in our world. • Peace comes from Shalom, speaking about a wholeness or completeness to all things. Peace brings prosperity.

  5. Sons of God • The son in ancient society inherited the father’s every asset, as well as usually did what the father did in life. • When we practice peace, not merely long for it, we become more like Jesus who gave Himself sacrificially to bring peace. • In joining in the work that is close to God’s heart, we become more and more like Him.

  6. Key of the Kingdom • We need not to simply long for peace, but to actively pursue peace. It starts as an attitude and ends as an action. • Not every time we go to peace will produce peace, but in attempting peace, we learn this beatitude through experience. • Some things are worth not keeping the peace, but we must make every godly attempt!
