  2. Personal background/sponser Hello fellow classmates this is about Henry Hudson’s personal background. So lets get started! Henry was a sailor. He was born in 1570 in England and died in 1611 in the Hudson bay. According to social studies alive book, in 1609 the Dutch east India company in Holland Hired him, the English sea captain to seek a rout to Asia.

  3. Motives Henry Hudson wanted to find a new route to Asia. Sadly he did not find it. But he did find the new world. Also his motive was to claim land for Europe and provide information for maps. Is that cool or what?

  4. Dates Henry left in 1609 to find the a new route to Asia. The big journey did not end when he died. It ended in 1624. Why you might ask? Well, his crew sent him, his son and seven other crew members on a small boat and Henry Hudson was never seen again.

  5. Impact He provided new things for maps. He did this by finding the Hudson river and the Hudson bay. This helped lots of other explorers to avoid those places with there big ship so they would not get stuck.

  6. Route of exploration You can see from England and back to England on this map.

  7. Conclusion • Henry Hudson explored a new route to Asia. A bay and river were named after him. Even though he died at the age of 41, he was one of the important explorers of the United states.
