  1. FIG S1 C57Bl/6 FIG S1: In vivo course of infection of chlamydial variants (Cm Var004, & Cm Var001) in two different strains of mice (C57Bl/6 and BALB/c mice). C57Bl/6 and BALB/c mice were infected with 3 x 105 IFU and cervical swabs were collected every 3 days to determine the IFU on a McCoy cell monolayer. (A) Data represents log10 (IFUs/ml) from genital swabs of C57Bl/6 and (B) log10 (IFUs/ml) from genital swabs of BALB/c mice. An average of 10 animals were plotted as mean ± one standard deviation for infection for each day. A two-factor (days, group) ANOVA with repeated measures (CmVar004 to CmVar001) indicated statistical significance between CmVar004 and CmVar001 (p<0.0001) in BALB/c mice but not in C57Bl/6 mice.
