  1. Alderwood Sports Cross Country, Fastpitch, Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, and Track

Eligibility • All paperwork is available online on the Alderwood website or in the AMS office • Get a physical-Physicals are good for 2 years • Only one “F” Grade is allowed but student needs to sign a contract to bring up grade during the season. • If the “F” grades are from previous semester the player will be on probation the first 3 weeks of the season • 8th Graders are eligible based on their final 2nd Semester grade in 7th Grade • Periodic grade checks throughout the season • All AMS fines paid • Proof of insurance listed on paperwork • Pay to Play - ($65) per sport & ASB Card ($8) • Practice is five days a week from 2:40 to 4:30 • A practice bus can give your child a ride home at 4:30

  3. Deadlines • All paperwork must be completed by noon on Aug. 31stin order to participate in the first practice • The physical must be completed before practice starts • Students are still eligible to practice/play if their paperwork is turned in late, but can’t practice until everything is in • Number of practices completed before eligible to play: Football – 12, XCountry – 10, Fastpitch - 10

  4. Fall Season (Sept-Nov.) • Second Day of School Tryout – Be Ready! • Football • 8th Grade Only • Non-cut sport • Cross Country • Non-cut sport • 7th and 8th Grade • Girls Fastpitch Softball • Cut sport, parent pickup at “away games” • 7th and 8th Grade

  5. Winter 1 Season (Nov.-Jan.) -Girls Volleyball -Cut Sport -7th and 8th Grade Teams -Boys Basketball -Cut Sport -7th and 8th Grade Teams

  6. Winter 2 Season (Jan. – Mar.) • Girls Basketball • Cut Sport • 7th and 8th Grade Teams • Wrestling • Non-cut sport • 7th and 8th Grade • Girls and Boys

  7. Spring Season (April – May) • Track and Field • Large Team! • Non-cut sport • Open to all grade levels

Other Important Information Sports Portraits (prices located by PTA area) PTA - $10 to join PTA Health Needs • Make sure medicine is turned into the office before the season starts Now accepting payment for sports fees in the office: • ASB card - $8 • $65 sports fee (separate check) -Call Assistant Principal Brian Stewart at 425-431-7581 if you have questions
