  3. Waarom VIZI: De aanleiding Ontwikkelingen in de Zorg: • Ketenzorg, Deeltijdarbeid, GMSB, Medische technologie, toetsbare kwaliteit ICT in de zorg: • Veel losse EPD’s, Dig. Rad, Spraakherkenning, WAP, Problemen: • Achterstand zorgverleners, infrastructuur, standaards, markt, investeringen lopen achter Kern: Er gebeurt veel; gevolgen omvangrijk Hoe effectief invoeren t.b.v. goede zorg.

Missie en context VIZIUltieme doel: verbetering van kwaliteit van zorg • noodzakelijke patiëntgegevens continu beschikbaar • voor patiënt en elke zorgverlener die daarvoor is geautoriseerd • op elke behandel-onderzoek lokatie, op elk moment • onafhankelijk van de fysieke opslagplaats van data • op gestandaardiseerde wijze, maar flexibel • in een adequaat beveiligde omgeving Infostructuur t.b.v het EPD / Referentiemodel
