LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! • Almost nowhere in Europe is far from the sea. • Southern and Western Europe consists almost entirely of peninsulas and islands: Greece, Italy and the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal). • Southern Europe faces the Mediterranean. • Western Europe is surrounded by the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. • Rivers run all through Europe, connected it to the seas and oceans and making travel and trade possible http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe

WHAT TO WEAR • Due to its northerly position o the globe, Europe appears to be harsh and cold. • Winters in Madrid and Paris are less severe than those in New York and Boston. • Prevailing westerly winds and the North Atlantic Drift ocean currents contribute to Europe’s mild climate. • Visit the Eiffel Tower any time of the year.
