  4. France • Basic info: France is best known for it’s architecture, cuisine, and beautiful art(i.e. the Mona Lisa). The country’s capital, is Paris ,where the famous Eiffel tower resides. The French language originated from Latin (which they acquired from the romans), and through many other conquests by other countries, it evolved to French. France has become one of the most historic, and beautiful countries in all of Europe. It is the country of art, of romance, of fine dinning. • Current event: Recently, France has had a dispute with immigrants from Africa,(the part of Africa that is Muslim). The French think that with the wave of immigrants entering their country will remove their religious and cultural identity as well as run them out of job and home. Go to question

  12. The U.K The U.K otherwise known as Great Britain, is the country that started it all. Great Britain was (and is still considered) America's mother country. Because the 13 Colonies traveled from Britain to America and eventually established their own country and government. As a result of those actions our society has inherited many of our customs and beliefs of the English people. Today, Britain is one of the leading countries in Europe, alongside Switzerland. The Grecian culture was established between 600 through 800 b.c , and is located in Italy in the Balkan peninsula. Greece along with the Balkan peninsula is remembered for it’s brutal battles. Romania is located in the central part of Europe, on the lower Danube and bordering the black sea. One of the largest attractions in Romania is Transylvania.   24. Sweden Sweden was covered in ice during the last glacial period and the first known settlings are from 10000 to 8900 BC. By the 9th century The Viking Age was under way. In the 12th century Swedes started to colonize Finland, which at the end of the 13th century became a part of Sweden. In 1527 Sweden broke relations with the catholic church and the reformation started. Through several wars from the 16th to the 18th century Sweden gained control over vast areas, and became the dominating power in northern Europe. Sweden declared itself neutral at the outbreak of WW1 and was governed by liberals until 1917. But food shortages caused unrest and consensus was no longer possible.
