Characteristics of a Sustainable Program • Secure a diversity of funds to meet reasonable program budget. • Maintain paid program director for at least 20 hours each week. • Remain active in volunteer recruitment and training. • Match volunteers in caregiving services with neighbors in need. • Inform community of services provided and seek to reach new neighbors in need. • Enlist support from coalition member congregations and board or advisory committee members.
