  4. Explain why we care about early earth?? Knowing the history of Earth and understanding ideas about how life began provides background for an understanding of the theory of evolution.

  5. What Was Earth Like A Long Time Ago?

  6. Describe what early earth was like Earth was very HOT! With Erupting volcanoes and had Crashing Meterotites

  7. Life Did Not Exist on Early Earth All the gases from volcano eruptions helped to form early earth. The gases likely found include carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Watervaporswere also present, but NO FREE OXYGEN.

  8. Summarize when life first began About 4.4 billion years ago, the Earth may have cooled enough for the water to start to condense. Millions of years of rainstorms with lightening led to what is now our oceans. It is thought by some scientists that life began in the oceans between 3.9 and 3.4 billion years ago.

  9. Is It All Just A Story? Scientists cannot be sure exactly how Earth was formed. Scientists use fossils to study ancient species and gain insight on how Earth used to be. A fossil is evidence of an organism that lived long ago It is thought by some scientists that life began spontaneously Paleontologists are the detectives that look at fossils to understand events that happened long ago.
