South Maple Street Sanitary & Storm Sewer System Improvements Project

This project aims to improve the sanitary and storm sewer systems on South Maple Street, College Street, Boone Avenue, and Belmont Avenue. The project will reduce health risks, eliminate combined sewer connections, and minimize stormwater impact on private properties.

  6. Project Disruptions…. • Road Closures / Detours • Noise • Dust • No expected customer sewer service impacts • Construction in back yards • Closure of alley way during construction period

Project Purpose… • US EPA Consent Decree (Not a defined project) • Inflow / Infiltration Reduction • Eliminates any combined sewer connections • Eliminates “Private” Sanitary Sewer Service connections; Publicly owned and maintained • Reduces Public Health Risks • Reduces amount and time period of Storm Water in back yards and alley*

  8. Scope of Work for Maple Street Project… • 741 ft. of 8-inch sanitary sewer • 750ft. of 6-inch sanitary sewer • Six (6) sanitary sewer manholes • 1,740ft. of storm sewer pipe 24” - 12” • 13 storm sewer boxes and other structures • Other necessary construction activities
