  2. 1. The Paleolithic Age or Old Stone Age. A. The first people lived more than two million years ago, originating in Africa.

  3. 2. Hunters and Gatherers A. Paleolithic people were nomads, or people who moved in search of food.

  4. 3. Adapting to the Environment • Simple tools: digging sticks + weapons • Technology- the skills and tools people use to meet basic needs

  5. C. Language developed to cooperate for hunting. D. Clothing of animal skins.

  6. 4. Spiritual Beliefs • The dead were buried with tools and weapons, suggesting a belief in an afterlife.
