  1. Yom Kippur 2007 Outer Court, Inner Court, Holy of Holies Messianic Jewish Synagogue 3610 North Chapel Road & Hwy 96 Franklin, Tennessee www.YeshuatYisrael.com

  2. Leviticus 16:1The Day of AtonementLeviticus 16Now the Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered profane fire before the Lord, and died; 2 and the Lord said to Moses: “Tell Aaron your brother not to come at just any time into the Holy Place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud above the mercy seat.

  3. Limited and restricted access to the presence of God • Only the Children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob • Only Descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Levi. (Priests) • Only Descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Levi and Aaron. (High Priests) • Only Men. • Only 1Man.(The Selected High Priest) • Only a clean and purified man.

  4. Leviticus 16:27Even the sin offering is taken Outside the Camp27 The bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp. And they shall burn in the fire their skins, their flesh, and their offal. 28 Then he who burns them shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.

  5. Hebrews 13:1010 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. 11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. 12Therefore Yeshua also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. 13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

  6. Romans 23:4444 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. 45 Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. 46 And when Yeshua had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’” Having said this, He breathed His last.47 So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

  7. “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Yeshua the Sin Offering is now Outside the Camp… Outside the Presence of God!

  8. Hebrews 9:11The Heavenly Sanctuary11 But Messiah came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

  9. Hebrews 9:11New Covenant, New Redemption15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

  10. Ephesians 2:11Brought Near by His Blood11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— 12 that at that time you were without Messiah, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Messiah Yeshua you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Messiah.

  11. Ephesians 2:14Messiah Our Shalom14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

  12. Ephesians 2:19Messiah Our Cornerstone19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Messiah Yeshua Himself being the chief cornerstone,21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

  13. 1 Peter 2:4The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Messiah. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”

  14. 1 Peter 2:77 Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,“The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,”8 and “A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.”They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

  15. 1 Peter 2:99 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10who once were not a people but arenow the people of God,who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

  16. Empty Hands, Empty Stomach,Empty Heart or Clean HandsPure Heart

  17. Luke 18:99 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’

  18. Luke 18:913 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

  20. Matthew 6:1616 “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

  21. Psalm 51:10Clean Hands, Clean Heart10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.11Do not cast me away from Your presence,And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.13Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners shall be converted to You.14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation,And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.

  22. Psalm 51:10Clean Hands, Clean Heart15 O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.

  23. Hebrews 10:19Hold Fast Your Confession19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Yeshua, 20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and having a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

  24. Hebrews 10:19Hold Fast Your Confession23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

  25. Romans 12:1Living Sacrifices to GodI beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
