  1. 180-Degree Rule and Filming a Sequence  Workshop 3

  2. 180-degree rule and filming a sequence • In this workshop we used the previous skills we had learns to attempt to film our very first sequence. • We used all the information we had been given to make the outcome look professional such as bubbling up, checking things like exposure and brightness also making sure the camera is always in focus. • After this we went on to talk about the 180-degree rule, this is where when you are filming a certain actor you never take the camera across the 180-degree line around that actor, if you do, they will end up on the other side of the screen and this is unclear and confusing for audiences.

  3. Getting multiple shots  • To make sur you have a well- rounded sequence and. good amount of footage to play around with when editing it is important to film the scene the whole way through from every angle and shot size, this means when it comes to editing the sequence you can cut between all the shot sizes and angles at any point in the sequence to add more interesting images. • Although it's important to storyboard and plan out what shots you are going to need and where they are going to go, it is always nice to have more then you need because when it comes to editing this means you can add in different shots and play around with angles if the plan on the storyboard is not coming together of paper.
