  2. Multe temple budistesuntînconjuratede zidul elefanţilor, conform credinţei că elefantul este cel care susţine pamântul în spinare

  3. Pe zid, de cele două părţi a intrării, Punkala, vasul abundenţei

  4. Dincolo de zid, templul copacului sfânt Bo (Ficus religiosa)

  5. La intrarea în temple un alt element obişnuit este balustrada (Korawak Gal)

  6. În curte există un Arbore de fier (Mesua ferrea), copacul naţional din Sri Lanka

  7. Frunza copacului Bodhy (Bo) are forma unei inimi sau a unei stupe, depinde cum este ţinută

  8. Templul are o vechime de peste 100 de ani

  9. Piatra semicirculară de la intrarea în temple, piatra lunii, cu cele 4 animale sfinte simbolizând punctele cardinale (leu, bivol, elefant, cal) gâsca sacră şi lotusul
