Tuesday 1st November 2011, 4.30-6.30pm Clifton on Teme Village Hall Let’s talk ‘Localilsm’ at our Annual General Meeting “Community right to buy” “Community right to challenge” Wellbeing Workshop 3pm – 4pm Recharge your batteries: Enhance your personal energy levels This 1 hour workshop looks at how we think affects our personal energy levels and will give you tips and techniques to help you to recognise what drains your energy levels, the effect that can have on you and what you can do to keep your energy levels high, even when you are under pressure. I wish to reserve the following number of places at the Wellbeing Workshop Community Buildings Workshop 3pm – 4pm ‘Sustainable Solutions - calling all village halls in Wychavon, Malvern Hills and Wyre Forest’ With funding support from LEADER Worcestershire, Community First is launching a year long project targeting 127 of the 136 village halls in Malvern Hills, Wychavon and Wyre Forest. We aim to help committees improve their environmental, financial and service sustainability . Come and hear more about how we can help village halls can become essential components in the Big Society.   2. 3 - 4.00pm Topical workshop/briefings 4 - 4.30pm Networking and refreshments 4.30 – 5.15pm AGM and main business 5.15 – 6.15pm ‘Let’s talk about Localism’ Keynote address 6.15 – 7pm Evening refreshments and networking This year’s AGM will conclude with a keynote address on the Government’s Localism Bill by Sylvia Brown OBE, Chief Executive of ACRE*. It will ensure you better understand and can respond to a major piece of legislation that will have an impact on your community Sylvia Brown works nationally with government and with partner organisations, to promote the role and expertise of rural communities, and highlight the challenges they face. Sylvia was awarded the OBE for services to rural communities in 2007. She is still a parish councillor in her own community in a village close to Swindon which has provided essential background experience for an ACRE Chief Executive. This is a pivotal time for local groups to engage with a national expert.
