Monologue: introduce a friend • Kate is a primary school teacher. She has a third grade class this year, with children who are eight or nine years old. • She teaches maths and Chinese. • She gives them a lot of work, but she tries to teach them good study habits. • She also makes her lessons interesting.

Monologue :introduce a friend • Kate usually gets to school at 7:00 am. an hour before classes begin. She uses the extra time to prepare for her lessons. • Sometimes students and their parents come to school early for conferences with Kate. • This is one of the few occasions when Kate can meet with her students' parents, • because most of them work when their children are in school.

My Mother • She provides good service to her patients . The patients and their family members are very thankful for what she did for them. Everybody says she’s a good nurse. • Mother is kind to me. When I have some problems that I can’t solve, she often gives me some advice. I respect her and will love her for ever.
