4. PROCESS • Gather information • Reach out to interested participants • Hold a community Workshop • Establish project goals • Create Draft Streetscape Plan • Meet with community to share Streetscape Plan; Revise as needed

5. GETTING STREETSCAPE BUILT • Prioritize improvements • Agree on Who will Maintain the Project • Apply for grants & other funding using the Streetscape Plan to define your Projects • Work with City of Los Angeles to create construction documents • Using City construction staff or Public Works Contractor, install improvements

6. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? • Streetscape Planning Process – 4 to 6 months • Obtaining Funding – 1 to 3 years • Construction Documents – 6 months to 1 year • Construction by City Forces – 6 to 18 months, depending on project size • Construction by Public Works Contractor – 1 ½ to 2 years, including bid & award

7. NEXT STEPS • TONIGHT: Design Workshop to identify and prioritize Community’s Goals • April 22: KCA returns with Preliminary Designs for Community input • June 27: Final Streetscape Guidelines presentation to Community
