  1. Graphing Patterns

  2. Rules for Graphing • Do not cluster your information • Make sure the numbers titles and sub titles are clear. • Output number is on the vertical line (y-axis), input number on the horizontal line (x-axis). • Mark the coordinate at the precise indicator. (i.e.: 4,2) on the spot.

  3. Minds on: You will need grid paper. There is a sale on Madonna CD's at HMV at the Fairview Park Mall. Each CD costs $10.00 Copy and complete this table. Find the cost for up to 10 CD's Graph the data in the table. Describe the patterns in the table. How are these patterns shown in the graph 0 20 40 60 80 100

  4. Multiple each number by 2, then add 3. Graph the pattern. Explain how the graph shows the pattern. Complete the table for this pattern: x 2 + 3 =5 x 2 + 3 =7 x 2 + 3 = 9 Imputter number x 2 + 3 = 11 x 2 + 3 =13 Output #

  5. A good graph First number tells the horizontal distance from the origin Second number tells the vertical distance from the origin 14 12 10 8 OUTPUT NUMBER 6 4 2 0 1 2 3 4 5 INPUT NUMBER
