Deconstructing the “Look” • Style: Conservative; Tailored • Suits (jackets with slacks or tailored skirts of a decent length) • Blouses are collared or jewel-neck • Shoes are low heeled, closed-toe • Colors: • Suits are solid or subtle patterns in dark or neutral shades • Blouses add color and interest • Accessories: Conservative • Earrings not big or dangly; necklaces usually rest on the collar bone • Hair & Make-up: Simple; conservative styles with natural colors. Hair is usually short or styled away from the face – but bangs are common to soften the look • Nails: Clean, trimmed, neutral or no color

Deconstructing the “Look” • Style: Conservative • Tailored Suits (jackets with slacks; shirt & tie) • Shirts are starched, well pressed, and buttoned at the neck • Ties are generally conservative and work with the shirt to create an accent   • Dress shoes blend with or are darker than pants • Colors: • Suits are solid or subtle patterns in dark or neutral shades • Shirts provide color contrast to jacket & slacks and coordinate with tie     • Accessories: • Ties: solid or small patterns and stripes are common. Shades of red and blue are standard “power" colors • Socks: Should not be noticeable – should create a harmonious transition from slacks to shoes • Hair/Nails: Well groomed - neat and clean. Hair should be styled away from the face
