FAST FACTS…….. • Current total square footage – 79,936 • 2009 – 79,936 sq. ft. is utilized to serve 2006 students. 896 per three hour shift! We are serving over 440 every 90 minutes! • 1969 – Original facility – 49,048 sq. ft. for a capacity of 250 students per three hour shift. • 1972 – 1st expansion Additional 14,438 sq. ft. added (Wing D) • 1975 – 2nd expansion Additional 16,456 sq. ft.(Wing E)
Offerings for Students • 2009 – same facility we are housing over 50 programs (courses) in 12 Cluster Areas • 1969 – school was designed to house 12 programs (courses) • 1975 – addition to facility allow for 4 more programs (courses) • 1977 – addition to facility allow for 4 more programs (courses) • Current Facility is Designed for “20” programs
All the While… • Districts 5 & 6 – have experienced major growth in student population in past 10 years which prompted additional schools to be built at all levels. • District 4 – additions to all schools have been made at various times over the past 20 years. • RDA – no additions to the facility in the past 34 years!!!
