  2. Be Proactive • Proactive= If the coach yells at me or something I just listen and don’t say anything back that’s being proactive. • Reactive= If the coach yells at me and I say something back I get in trouble and have to run that’s being reactive.

  3. Example Proactive= The coach is yelling at him he just listens. Reactive= not staying calm and yelling at the coach.

  4. Keep the end in mind • Mission statement= Is a football each lace represents something special to me like family, school, friends, sports, and my wonderful life.

  5. First things first • Check to see if I have all my equipment instead of waiting until it’s time to go that’s putting first things first.

  6. Think Win Win • Never go into a game thinking negative about my team and me that’s thinking win win.

  7. Seek first to understand then to be understood • Pay attention to coach while he’s teaching something so if someone doesn’t know I can help that’s seeking first to understand then to be understood.

  8. Synergy • To teach my team to play as one and don’t argue with each other and keep a strong foundation that’s synergy.

  9. Sharpen the saw • Playing football takes away stress and other feelings and it even keeps me relaxed.
