Description & Issues • Governs all uses of the oceans and their resources: marine pollution, fishing, oil, pipelines, navigation, pollution, dumping, etc. • Regulates border lines and freedom/limitations on international waters. Ex:All States enjoy the traditional freedoms of navigation, over-flight, scientific research and fishing on the high seas. • Codifies international law regarding territorial waters, sea-lanes, and ocean resources
