What is LOSC? • Defines the rights/responsibilities of nations and guidelines for the use of oceans for business, management of marine resources, and the environment. • 12 mile jurisdictional limit & 200 mile exclusive economic zone limit • control pollution of the marine environment • International Seabed Authority was established to aurthorize seabed exploration and mining
