Internet safety • Protect your information • Never give out your address to strangers • Never schedule offline meeting with “online only” friends • Stay away from “adults only” sections of the internet • Never do random chat • Carefully think through whether to use geolocation on social networks/games • Beware “free” downloads • Don’t share family photos without permission

Creating powerpoint • First you click on the power point button • Then a blank powerpoint will show up • You can change the background by clicking “design” • You can also print your powerpoint • Click on the tab labeled “file • There click on print • And you can choose either print all of your slides or just one slide

  4. Business letter “1. What to Put in the Heading of a Business Letter • This is your name and address. • However, if you're typing the business address, it should be located in the top right-hand corner. 2. How to Write the Date in a Business Letter • The date is very important, since it can be useful in determining priorities, for filing and it also can have legal ramifications. • In a typed address letter, the date goes immediately under your address. • In a letterhead letter, the date can go on the left-hand side, or the right-hand side, immediately under the letterhead. 3. How to Write the Opening of a Business Letter This is the: • This information always goes on the left-hand side of the page, starting one line lower than your business name and address and the date. 4. How to Write the Body of the Business Letter • clear • concise • courteous. 5. How to Write the Closing of a Business Letter and Sign Off • It is customary to sign off, 'Yours faithfully' if it is a formal business letter or if you don't know the name of the person; you sign 'Yours sincerely' when you do know the name of the person. • Your closing signature can be placed on the left-hand side of the letter (which makes it easier on the typist) or on the right-hand side -- in line with the address (if the address has been typed in the right-hand corner and / or with the date (if it has been placed in the right-hand corner).”

  5. Email etiquette • Make sure your email is appropriate and not so cutesy • Make sure to fill in the subject line • Have an appropriate greeting • Avoid apologies • Proofread what you have written • Be academic • And end academically

  6. M.S Excel Chart • Click on the excel button • A blank excel will show up • To add a chart click on the “insert” button • Then you can click on all the chart options they have

  8. M.S Templates • You can use templates on the m.s word, m.s powerpoint, or the m.s excel • Click on the “file” button • Then click on the “new” button • There you find templates for resumes, letters, calendars, and many more useful things

Add a poll • Sign on to your weebly account • Click “edit” • Then click on “more” button • There you will see a button called “online poll” • Drag it onto your weebly page • then click “edit poll” • There you will be given the option to create a new poll • When you are done creating your poll click “add to page”

Weebly website • This is a very easy website to navigate • Enter your email or username and a password, and then click “sign up” • After creating you website you will be taken to page and press the “edit” button • Then you give you site a name • And then you can change the background and pictures, effects, anything you would like your website to have

Survey monkey • Survey Monkey is another useful website to create surveys easily • Just sign up and you ready to create any type of survey you want • “Customize the look and feel of your surveys. Add your logo, company name, colors, and images. Create your own survey URL and send respondents to a promotional landing page upon survey completion.” • “Gather responses with one handy URL by including your link on emails, websites, Twitter, Facebook, and more. All of our survey templates meet Section 508 accessibility standards. Plus, they look great on just about any device.”

  12. Donation page “Create a Donation website for The American Cancer Society (ACS), and tell someone's Cancer Survival story on that website. The website walks you through how to set it up, controls the “donation” parts and it is a verifiable/searchable website. If you have no Cancer story of your own, part of it can be to find someone with a story and tell their story for them by creating the webpage.”

  13. Ted talks TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas.” TED has videos of people talking about many important topics that people care about. Some of the topics they talk about are; • technology • entertainment • design • business • science • global issues

  14. Npr podcasts NPR delivers breaking national and world news. Also top stories from business, politics, health, science, technology, music, arts and culture.” NPR means National Public Radio. We listened to a podcast explaining why coca cola cost 5 cents for 70 years.

  15. Youtube videos Youtube is one of the most used websites on the internet. • There you find music videos • how to videos • clips from movies • Clips from shows • And many more videos

  16. Online (cyber) bullying Cyber bullying is becoming a more serious case. Many teens suffer from online bullying. Whether it is a post on a social networking site, a survey degrading teens, a video, even text messages. Cyber bullying is something that needs to stop. Many people have killed themselves over cyber bullying.

  17. Typing programs Many people use typing programs. Typing programs help you practice your typing. It will help you improve your speed and be able to type with out looking at the screen. One typing program that is very effective and entertaining is Mavis Beacon.

  18. Internet uses The internet is used for many things now. • You can find information about a certain topic • communicate with people • use social networking sites • Watch how to videos • Learn a language And many more things.

  19. Password strategies Make sure your password is long, eight or moor characters. Don’t use any personal information in you password. Also don’t use the same password for everything. Don’t use letters and characters that you see more often, the greater the variety of characters in your password the better. • “Replace all the ‘a’ with @ • Replace all the ‘s’ with $ • Replace any space with % • Replace any ‘o’ with 0 • Replace any ‘I’ with !”

  20. Saving documents Saving your documents is a very important habit to have. Even if you have just started you document it is always smart to save it. Because, what if your computer crashes or if you accidentally exit it out of the page with out saving it. All your work would have been erased and you would have to start all over again. To save your document click on the tab called “file.” Then click on the “save” button there a page will pop up there it will give you an option where on your computer you want to save the document and what it will be called. Also it is smart to continually save the document while your typing it so it is up to date .

  21. Printing documents Printing documents is a very simple task. You can either print many copies of one page, or you can print all the slides of a powerpoint, or just one single page. All you have to do is go to the top left corner of the page. Click on the tab called “file” there click on the button called “print.” there it gives you options to which printer you like to pint from, how many copies, and how many pages.

  23. COOKIE SHARE Cookie share is where we choose our favorite cookies, and found a recipe. After that we made another page to our weebly website called “cookie share” there we put the recipe that we found and two pictures of the cookies.
