Design Introduction • The backpack light operates from two AAA alkaline or NiMH batteries. • A boost converter raises the battery voltage to the ~9V needed to power the LEDs with 80-90% efficiency • Four LEDs provide 360 visibility • A microcontroller provides programmable flash patterns and automatic shut-off • Turn-on mechanism still in R&D…
