Make sure they know the path they want to follow and to strive by making short term and long term goals with set priorities on how to get their. Stay “in the know” at FLE! This year, parents will not be receiving a hard copy school newsletter. To stay informed, visit our school blog at http://fleeagles.blogspot.com. You will be prompted to fill in your email address to register. To complete the registration process, Feedburner will send you an e-mail to confirm your subscription. Thank you, and enjoy browsing our school blog! • Tips to Encourage Reading • Encourage your child to write and draw every day. Reading and writing go hand in hand! Have your child read back to you what he or she has written. Encourage “invented spelling”, and help your child see the value in recording each sound that he or she hears, in order, without focusing or worrying about spelling correctly at this stage in your child’s development. Talk about spacing between words, using end marks, and using capital letters at the beginning of sentences, for the word, “I”, and for names • Reminders: • Please make sure that your child is in uniform! Every day that he or she dresses for success will earn a compliment! • Please fill out and return all forms sent home as soon as possible. • It sometimes gets chilly in our classrooms, so feel free to send a light sweater for your child to wear if necessary. • Please visit our kindergarten website! We plan to post pictures of our students engaged in learning experiences, but will they will not be identified. Additionally, any child who is mentioned in another area of the website will never have a last name posted. Please contact your child’s teacher if you do not wish to participate in this. • Students may not be checked out of the office after 2: 15 . • Parents MUST stay in the carpool line while dropping off/picking up their students. It is to ensure your child’s safety! Thank you!  December Birthdays Trayvon Jones 7 Raniya Reid 12 Harshdeep Wadhwa 15 MarQuez Thomas 17 Hannah Livingston-Osby 19 Kameryn Goodman 23 Sumorrya Abney 24 Zay’vion Green 27 Mrs. Jeter 27
