  2. Communication: Definition • It is about sharing ideas between each other, or kind of talking and understanding messages. • It is always important to send the right message, and to make sure people received the message we meant to send.

  3. Why do we communicate? • We need to share our thoughts with other people to: • Share ideas • Warn about trouble • Teach or explain • Work together • Play together

  4. Types of Communications • Can you tell “No” in different ways? • Great! You can just say “No’, but also you can make a sound like “Aa’ah”, and you can also shrug your shoulder.

  5. Good Job! • Here’s another example: How can we tell someone, “Good job!”? Exactly! First; we can just say it. Second; we can make sounds like: “Aahhaaa!”, and Thirdly, by giving a thumbs up sign!

  6. Types of Communication We share our ideas through: • Talking, when we speak and express our thoughts and people can hear and understand us. • Talking and making sounds. • Moving our bodies in a certain way.

  7. Talking Some people like to talk a lot, and while others do not. How about you? When somebody is talking to us, it is important that we look and listen to that person. We need to let them finish before we speak, too.

  8. About Talking.. It is important to avoid talking while our mouth is full, or while someone else is talking to you. Also, don’t yell or scream. These are bad habits, and people won’t listen. It is rude to do this. Even when you feel like a yelling it is better to show self-control. This way people will listen if you are upset.

  9. Time for video clip on sharing http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DfKFShRbSHi8%26feature%3Drelated

  10. Conclusion • It is good to learn new things, but it is important to practice what we learned. Show good listening! • In our next lesson, we will learn about how how the sounds we make or body movement can also communicate messages. • See you then..
