The boat is big! Good grief! The sails are huge! • If the interjection shows mild feeling, it begins the sentence and is followed by a comma. • Ah,the breeze is nice. Well, let’s go sailing!

  4. What is the interjection in each sentence? • Hey, this boat needs a few repairs. • Good grief! Can we repair it in time for the race? • Oh, I hope so! • Whew! Someone remembered to bring the sewing box. • Ouch! That needle is sharp! • Hurray! The sail is as good as new! • Oh, no! Here’s another rip we missed!

  5. Add the Punctuation after each interjection. • Ah there’s nothing like a windy day for a race! • Well let’s get everything ready. • Oh, no The race begins in an hour! • Hurray the jackets are in the boat! • Okay Now we don’t have to go back. • Hey it’s getting windier.
